Teaching Cinematography – Online Colloquium 15th/16th November 2022
10 years ago seven enthusiastic Cinematography Lecturers from five countries held a colloquium on “How to Teach Cinematography Nowadays?” at the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film (HFF) in Munich.
5 years later “Teaching Cinematography” was the title of an international conference at the HFF with 120 participants from all over the world.
With the gracious support of the same institution we are now in the position to revisit the idea of a colloquium on the same theme.
In spite of pandemic and war life goes on, the film industry goes on and the teaching of cinematography goes on. The initiative group behind this event find interesting the idea of looking at the “teaching of cinematography” after 10 years: What is still actual after all these years? Are there new issues or challenges? There is only one way to find out: talk about it.
Therefore and herby we call for a virtual colloquium organized by the HFF on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th of November 2022.
The participation is free of charge. In order to give each participant the opportunity to actively participate in the discussions, the colloquium is limited to a maximum of 50 participants.
Application deadline is Monday, 7th November, 9:00 CET.
After the end of the application deadline you will be provided with a link to the virtual colloquium and the online survey.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
Jean-Paul Jarry, Petru Maier, Peter C. Slansky
